Day Rate-£300-£350 (Outside IR35)

Duration-3-6 months (extendable)

Location-Remote

Time Zone-EST time zone (Ideally, 1-2 pm to 9-10 pm UK time)

 

The Software Engineer is responsible for implementing software solutions of high complexity across the proprietary platform. This role works independently or as part of a team to develop, test, and deploy software, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

•                     Strong proficiency in an object-oriented programming language (e.g., C#, Java)

•                     Solid understanding of system architecture and software design patterns

•                     Experience in database development and integration (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL)

•                     Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills

•                     Knowledge of Agile development practices and CI/CD pipelines

Desired Experience

•                     4–6 years of relevant experience in software development

•                     Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS)

•                     Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices

•                     Exposure to legacy systems and modernization efforts

•                     Experience in the scholarly publishing or peer review industry
