Job Title-Azure Data Engineer

 

Client-Global Consulting Firm

 

Day Rate-£350-£400 (Outside IR35)

 

Duration-3-6 months (extendable)

 

Location-Preston (Mostly Remote with occassional visit to Preston)

 

• Complete technical solution designs based on business requirements & Architecture Diagrams.

 

• Build data pipelines to ingest data and populate data lakehouse, in line with designs, using ADF and Synapse (SQL coding not Python)

 

• Apply data transformations and models.

 

• Ensure pipelines are successfully tested and productionised

 

• Implement monitoring and alerting approach.

 

• Designs and builds Power BI dashboards

 

• Works with business teams on the overall look and feel of dashboards.

 

• Apply data transformations in Power BI.

 

• Ensure dashboards are successfully tested and productionised according to development lifecycle.

 

• Implement monitoring and alerting approach.

 

• Ability to engage and understand user requirements.

 

• Expert knowledge of ADF and Synapse.

 

• Good working knowledge / expert in Power BI report build.

 

• Experience of building MI solutions on the Azure platform, including using Azure Devops, key vault, github code repositories.

 

• Experienced at working in an agile methodology, preferably using JIRA.
