The Vendor/Relationship Manager (Finance) will be responsible for overseeing the performance and relationship of the organisation’s outsourced finance vendor.
· Proven experience (7+ years) in vendor management, relationship management, or finance operations, ideally within an outsourced environment.
· Strong understanding of finance processes and controls, including a sound knowledge of compliance, risk management, and reporting standards.
· Demonstrated ability to manage complex relationships, ensuring alignment between vendor performance and organisational goals.
· Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, assess trends, and make strategic recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the main point of contact between the organisation and the finance outsourcing vendor.
Build and maintain a strong, collaborative relationship with the vendor, addressing any issues or risks proactively.
Facilitate regular performance reviews, holding the vendor accountable to contractual obligations and service level agreements (SLAs).
Develop and oversee performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the vendor to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
Analyse vendor performance data, identifying trends, opportunities for improvement, and escalating issues as needed.
Prepare and present periodic performance reports to senior leadership, highlighting vendor performance, risks, and improvement plans.
Manage the contractual relationship with the vendor, including oversight of renewals, amendments, and pricing negotiations.
Regularly review SLAs and KPIs with the vendor, updating as necessary to reflect evolving business needs.
Ensure all agreements are documented, stored securely, and communicated clearly to relevant stakeholders.
Lead change management initiatives as needed to adapt to new business requirements or enhancements in vendor capabilities.
Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to discuss vendor performance, address any issues, and plan for upcoming needs.
